Just for fun, I took a few shots around the house, and this is the one I liked the most. It’s the lock for our front door.
What do you think? Do you like it, hate it, or are you indifferent to it? What works for you? What doesn’t?

I like the way the wood is worn from the keys swinging against it. That suggests a story. I like the richness of the brass and the wood. I am not crazy about the use of flash, though. It kind of flattens it all.

I don’t have a tripod yet, unfortunately, and the lighting is bad enough in that area that it seems to suggest the need for flash. I’ll have to see how it turns out if I bump up the ISO… Thanks for the comment – it’s very much appreciated.
